Flowers on top of flowers
If you know the basic macrame knots, then learning this macrame sennit is easy! All you need to know is the lark's head knot and the half hitch.
For this sennit you'll need four cords: two working cords and two filler cords. The working cords can be slightly longer than the filler cords.
Step by step instructions:
- Stack your filler cords on top of each other (one going right and the other going left) and use them both as filler cords simultaneously for the next knot.
- Wrap your working cords once around the two filler cords, one at a time. This is almost like a half hitch.
- Make a LH knot sideways with your leftmost working cord around your leftmost filler cord.
- Repeat the same on the right.
- Stack your filler cords on top of each other (closing the flower) and use them both as filler cords simultaneously for the next knot.
- Wrap your working cords around the two filler cords, one at a time.
- Tighten all the cords to close the flower.
